Kid's Health Alliance, PA welcomes new patients. Choosing the right pediatrician for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make. By selecting Kid's Health Alliance, PA , you can feel confident and comfortable that you have made the right decision.
To understand what to expect for your child's first visit to our practice, please read through this page.
Kid’s Health Alliance, PA is a family-centered Medical Home providing healthcare to children in Marion County from birth to 18 years of age. A Medical Home, as defined by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), is accessible, family-centered, coordinated, compassionate, and culturally effective care, (AAP policy statement, 2002, reaffirmed 2008). The AAP promotes access to quality Medical Homes for all children and youth.
As a Medical Home, Kid’s Health Alliance, PA is a central resource for all children’s healthcare needs. The physicians and staff perform routine checkups, health education and encourage parents to be involved in all aspects of their child’s care.
A Medical Home is not a building or place but a way of providing health care services. Children and their families who have medical homes receive the care that is needed from a pediatrician and nurse care coordinator they trust. The parents and pediatric professionals act as partners in the medical home to identify and access all the medical and non-medical services needed to help children and their families reach their full potential.
What to expect
A pleasant, comfortable first visit builds trust and helps put the child at ease during future visits. We want your child to enjoy getting to know our doctors and staff, so we work hard to establish this bond during every appointment to our office. During your initial appointment, we will explain everything in detail and answer any questions you may have.
We look forward to meeting you and your child and providing the quality, comprehensive medical care you expect and deserve.
Kids Health Alliance Discounted/Sliding Fee Policy
It is the policy of Kids Health Alliance to provide essential medical services to all patients, regardless of the patient’s ability to pay. Discounts are offered to those who qualify based upon family/household size and annual income. A sliding fee schedule is used to calculate the basic discount and is updated each year using the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Once the application is approved, the discount will be honored for six months, after which the patient must reapply.
Discount Application Process
To apply for our Sliding Fee Schedule, the patient must provide necessary documentation along with a completed application. The required documentation includes proof of:
- Home Address
- Household Income
The discount will apply to all services received at this clinic, but not those services purchased from outside, including reference laboratory testing, drugs, and x-ray interpretation by a consulting radiologist, and other such services. This form must be completed every 6 months, or if your financial situation changes.
NOTE: To comply with federal regulations, in order to give you a discount on our medical services, it is necessary for us to ask some personal questions. Your answers will be kept on file and in strict confidence.
Your yearly income tax return, a copy of your W-2 form, last month’s paycheck stubs, copies of your social security checks, or other checks you may receive will be sufficient proof. Your annual income and your family size will be used to calculate your discount.
